Figured i would try this repair shop as my normal mechanic had just went through a stroke. Make sure to ask all your questions on charges before you get any work done. I had what seemed like a fuel issue but i had replaced the fuel pump a couple years prior so i wasn't quite sure that could again be the problem. I asked Fair Price to check it out and verify my suspicions without asking about charges first. (My mistake) I was charged $180 to have the cause diagnosed. They also checked my headlights, my wipers, and everything else under the sun that i did not request to be checked over. I expected to 100% pay for their time but did not expect them to have $180 minimum charge. When i was quoted $800 plus to do the complete repair (included the diagnostic fee) i had them stop immediately. A shop can charge what ever they want, i just want others to make sure they ask all the questions first before they make the same mistake that i did.
Hi Nathan, We're sorry to hear you weren't completely satisfied with our business. We do want to let you know that all the other items that were checked over is part of a complimentary service we do completely free with all vehicles just so the customer is aware if any other problems were to arise in the future or are already a problem. We try to be upfront about our pricing and services we do not try to hide anything, our diagnostic pricing sheet is at the front desk as well for others to see, we charge a flat fee of $180 to diagnose a drivability problem to give the mechanic an adequate amount of time to diagnose what is causing the problem in the car and so that we are confident on what is going on and not leaving you in a gray area with a bunch of "Maybe" answers. I hope this helps you understand a little more on our services and pricing! If you have any questions regarding your service with us please reach out and we're more than happy to answer any questions for you! Have a wonderful day!
